Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire Post Game

Before beginning any of the post game antics, I recommend acquiring Pacifidlog Town as a point to fly to since many of the legendaries are easily accessible from this location. To reach Pacifidlog Town, sail as far south as possible from Ever Grande City, then start heading west. Eventually, you will reach this floating village. This section is somewhat scattered, but we will start with the legendaries that become available in the post game.

Latios, Latias, and Rayquaza

When you wake up following your victory in the Pokemon League, you can walk downstairs or watch the TV to see mention of a flying Pokemon making appearances around the Hoenn region. This is the duo of Latias and Latias, who have a random chance to appear during any encounters in the future. After encountering them once in the open world, you will be able to track them similarly to the legendary dog trio in the previous gen. You can use trap moves such as mean look to prevent them from running, allowing for a clean catch. Otherwise, make sure not to make them faint as this will require a reload for them to appear again.

Rayquaza is found in the Sky Pillar From Pacifidlog Town, travel to the east and north until you spot a gap in the rocks blocking your passage. This is the sky pillar. Enter the cave, head north, and use your mach bike to navigate the rocks upwards. Rayquaza is waiting for you at the top of the tower.

Unlocking the Regi Trio

One of the most cryptic yet exciting parts of the post game legendary hunt is tracking down the legendary trio whose clues are found only in braille. Before beginning the hunt, make sure you have a Relicanth and Wailord caught and in your team. Relicanth can be caught in the seaweed directly south of Sootopolis City, while a Waillord can be evolved, fished, or randomly encountered on route 129. Once you're ready, head west from Pacifidlog town.

Follow the currents south until you reach this required shallow water island. When you're here, aim specifically to surf from the bottom-middle, lined up with the image above. This will take you to a dive location. Dive in, follow the path, and emerge where the braille writing is prominently featured in the center of the cavern.

Walk to the northernmost inscription, then in the center use dig as if it were an HM. This will take you to a new chamber. Move Relicanth to the top of your team and Wailord to the last place and push on the northernmost rock. This will, if done correctly, create a dialogue box that explains that the sacred chambers are now open. That's all you can do here now, so dig and dive your way out until you reach the surface.

How to Find Regirock

All of the chambers have a unique pattern to them with 6 rocks circling a central chamber. In the southern dip of the desert north of Mauville City lies Regirock's chamber.

The braille here explains what to do, but in case you want to skip that, walk up the center of the chamber. Then, walk two spaces to the right, then two spaces down, then use strength. If done correctly, this will unlock the next room where Regirock awaits! Depending on your starting location you may need to try several spaces here, but you can spam it in different areas without any repercussions so this shouldn't be too much of a problem.

For all of these legendaries, we recommend bringing plenty of Pokeballs, healing items, and Pokemon with false swipe and a paralysis move for maximum catching chance. You will likely want to use your master ball elsewhere, so you'll have to brute force these legendaries.

How to Find Regice

Regice is found in the Island Cave north of Dewford Town. Surf your way northwest, and then land on the closest wooded island. From there, surf again on the west coast. Then, go north. This should land you directly on the island. The puzzle for Regice is annoying but quite doable. Open the braille at the front of the cavern, then wait for 2 minutes. Leave the braille open, and reset the room in case you accidentally close it. After enough time, the door will open to Regice.

How to Find Registeel

Registeel is found in a tomb on the southern end of Route 120. Make your way to the very bottom of this route, then take stairs up into a wooded area that contains the cave. Registeel requires you to walk to the center of the room and use fly. You can adjust in case you miss the center, and try as many times as you need. Once you do, the door will open to Registeel! Bring your best because his steel typing and moves are formidable, but once you catch him you'll be the proud owner of all three members of the golem trio!

Battle Tower

The Battle Tower is accessible by taking the ferry in Slateport City after defeating the Pokemon League. It is a single island that allows you to fight off waves of trainers in order to receive rewards. Several types of exclusive or near-exclusive items are available through this, but to receive a maximum rarity reward requires a streak of at least 42. After every 7 victories, you receive one of the minor rewards. Finally, you can receive two special rewards via streaks of 50 and 100.

These rewards are given out every 7 wins. You can see the rewards below.

Pokemon Ruby Trick House
