Brilliant Diamond Shining Pearl Legendary Pokemon

Main Story Legendaries

  • Dialga: this is the title legendary in Brilliant Diamond and is found on top of Mt. Coronet. It must be defeated and caught as part of the main story. In Shining Pearl, it can only be obtained via trade or transfer.
  • Palkia: this is the title legendary in Shining Pearl and is found on top of Mt. Coronet. It must be defeated and caught as part of the main story. In Brilliant Diamond, it can only be obtained via trade or transfer.
  • Uxie: after catching the title legendary of either game, the lake guardian trio will be available to find and catch. Uxie can be found at Lake Acuity.
  • Mesprit: after catching the title legendary of either game, the lake guardian trio will be available to find and catch. Mesprit can be found at Lake Verity at first. However, it will flee the scene when encountered and then must be found in the tall grass anywhere in the region. Its location is trackable via your Pokétech.
  • Azelf: after catching the title legendary of either game, the lake guardian trio will be available to find and catch. Azelf can be found at Lake Valor.
  • Heatran: after obtaining the national dex, head to Stark Mountain at the end of Route 227 in the northeast corner of Sinnoh. A trainer named Buck will accompany you through the mountain and lead you to Heatran's room. Buck will then head back to the Survival Area. Speak to him in a house there and you'll then be able to return to Stark Mountain to battle and catch Heatran.
  • Regigigas: this legendary can be found in Snowpoint Temple, just north of Snowpoint City. You will need Regirock, Regice, and Registeel on your team to awaken it. You'll need to transfer these three Pokemon from other games.
  • Giratina: after obtaining the national dex, you'll be able to reach Turnback Cave by way of the Spring Path and Sendoff Spring. After making your way through the maze in this cave you'll encounter Giratina.
  • Cresselia: after obtaining the national dex, you can speak to a sailor in Canalave Town who will take you to Full Moon Island. Here you will see Cresselia, but it will flee. It's roaming location can be tracked with the Pokétech.
