Chapter 2: Tunnel

The Tunnel

Pokemon Snap Electabuzz

Unlike the Beach, in the tunnel you have a small amount of freedom to move left or right based on your camera movement. Skip the Pikachu as we already have a picture of Pikachu and snap a picture of the Electabuzz that will appear ahead. Further ahead, the Electabuzz will trigger an Electrode to explode. Get a picture of it in the process of exploding for extra points.

Pokemon Snap Electrode

Soon after this explosion, between 4 and 6 Kakuna will come down from the ceiling. Snap as many of them in the same picture as possible.

Pokemon Snap Zubat

It is worth noting that as you approach every door in this level, a Zubat will charge through, flying in an erratic pattern. Spam your photo button to get a picture of Zubat in the center of the frame. After the first door, there will be another Pikachu if you missed a shot of him before. But, more importantly, there is a floating purple ball moving around in a circle. Snap it in the center of your frame, as it is later revealed to be a Haunter. Also, if you missed Zubat before, you get another chance here.

Pokemon Snap Haunter

To your left there will be a Pikachu and Diglett interacting. Get a picture of them doing this for extra points. Everytime the Diglett surfaces, also snap a picture of it.

If you do this 3 times, the Diglett will emerge as a Dugtrio. Snap a picture of it, and continue on to the exit, taking note of the Magnemites that you cannot photograph yet.

If you’ve gotten pictures of every Pokemon in this walkthrough so far, Professor Oak will reward you with your first throwable item: Pokemon Food.

Pokemon Food

Pokemon Snap Magikarp

Reselect the Tunnel stage. As you enter, lure the Pikachu on your right towards the oncoming Electrode to get a special picture. Pikachu will hop on, giving you a point bonus.

You can also use Pokemon Food to make Electrodes explode, meaning that you can now manually lure out Kakunas, or get that Electrode shot from before more consistently.

Pokemon Snap Volcano Opening

At the end of the stage, you can use Pokemon Food to get a good shot of Magnemite. Then, lure 3 of them together to get a good shot of Magneton. Finally, don’t forget to hit the Electrode on your right to unlock the next stage: the Volcano.
