Chapter 6: Valley

The Valley

Pokemon Snap Squirtle Pokemon Snap Geodude Pokemon Snap Mankey

As you begin the course, you will notice some shells floating alongside you. Hit as many as you can with Pester Balls to knock them onto land, where they will reveal themselves as Squirtles. Use Pokemon Food to lure them towards you, and snap as many as possible for maximum points.

You will see a nearby Magikarp jumping out of the water ahead. Throw a Pester Ball at the spot where it is jumping to make it exit the water and get slapped away by a nearby Mankey.

You'll soon see multiple Geodudes hanging onto the wall. Knock them down with Pester Balls to get a better shot off Geodude, as well as Sandshrew. Sandslash and Graveler are also hidden ahead, so repeat the process by knocking down the Geodude and Graveler will fall down, revealing the Sandslash.

Pokemon Snap Gyarados Waterfall Pokemon Snap Starmie

Remember that Magikarp from earlier? Well as soon as you reach the waterfall, look to your left and you will see it on the shore. Hit it again with a Pester Ball to make it swim into the waterfall and evolve into Gyarados. Also be vigilant and make sure to photograph Starmie as it flies away.

As you approach the whirlpool, you have three primary actions to perform. Throw Pester Balls at the water to the left of the whirlpool to cause Dratini to jump out. Then, photograph Staryu as it flies away. Finally, throw as many Pester Balls as possible into the whirlpool, causing Dragonite to emerge.

Pokemon Snap Whirlpool Pokemon Snap Squirtle Pester Ball

The last section of the Valley is a test of your aim. A Squirtle is waiting below a mountain with a Mankey on it. Hit the Squirtle with a Pester Ball to send it flying and, if you aimed well, hit the Mankey. The Mankey will fall down, not only allowing for a close-up photo, but also allowing you to hit it with a Pester Ball onto a nearby switch. this will reveal a side route that will progress the story.

Pokemon Signs

At this lake, Professor Oak will tell you what you need to do to unlock the final level: journey to each of the different courses and photograph a different Pokemon Sign. For this reason, we have a Pokemon Signs Guide to help you snap each of them.
