Pokémon Scarlet and Violet versions were revealed on February 27, 2022. They are the first entry in the 9th generation of Pokémon. They take place in the Pladea region, a brand new region that is based on the country of Spain. The games are completely open world and feature three non-linear storylines. The three starters are Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. They were released worldwide on November 18, 2022.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet received paid DLC called The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero that released in three parts starting on September 13, 2023.
