New to Pokemon X & Y are Mega Evolutions. A select group of Pokémon now have the ability to Mega Evolve which is a temporary boost in stats that may also change the Pokémon's appearance, type, and ability. In order to Mega Evolution can be toggled in-battle to any ot the following Pokémon if they are holding their respective mega stone.
The following Pokemon X and Y Mega Evolutions guide will provide a brief summary on the new stats, appearance, type, and ability of Mega Evolved Pokémon. It'll will also provide Mega Stone locations, a guide on where and how to get each Mega Stone.

The following Mega Stones can only be obtained between 8 P.M. and 9 P.M. after becoming Kalos Pokémon League champion and completing the following side quest:
Visit Professor Sycamore at Lumiose Train Station. He will give you access to a new area, Kiloude City. Once there, at the northernmost part of the city, Calem/Serena will be waiting. They will challenge you to a battle (in the process, giving you an Absolite). They will instruct you to go see Professor Sycamore once more at Anistar City Sundial. There, he will explain the sundials purpose and upgrade your Mega Ring to allow you to find more stones.
